The Highland dancing fraternity will be delighted to hear that Maree was awarded the Order of Australia medal on Australia Day, 26th January 2013, for her service to Highland dancing as a teacher, judge and administrator. Having at all times served with dedication, commitment and integrity upon countless Highland dancing committees over many, many years, Maree is the doyen of Highland dancing within Australia. An honour so well deserved.
