Congratulations to RSOBHD Adjudicator Alison Gordon, who has been awarded the Medal of the Order of the British Empire (BEM) in His Majesty The King’s New Year Honours List 2026 for services to highland dancing.
The RSOBHD Chairman Christine Lacey MBE and Vice-Chairman Deryck Mitchelson representing the RSOBHD at the World Highland Dancing Conference with one of the conference founding organisers, and RSOBHD Honorary Member, Sandra Bald Jones. The Chairman was invited to speak at the World Highland Dancing Conference honouring the founding organisers Sandra Bald Jones and Cathy Hynd.
