The SOBHD celebrated it’s 60th Anniversary (1950-2010) with a dinner and ceilidh on Sunday 22nd August 2010 at the Piping Centre, Glasgow. Pictured at the celebrations are Christine Lacey (Chairman), Mrs Haggarty MBE (Vice President) and Shendl Russell (President).
Congratulations to students from the Heather Jolley and Elizabeth Johnston Schools of Highland Dance who were asked to perform at the recent 2010 Winter Olympics, held in Vancouver, Canada. The dancers danced at the ice hockey, curling and speed skating venues.
Congratulations to Billy Forsyth MBE who has been awarded the 2009 Atholl Clasp. Billy was presented with a set of cufflinks, engraved with WB MBE, by the SOBHD Chairman Christine Lacey.

For nearly 80 years, Adeline Duncan was involved with Highland dancing.
