Congratulations to our Champion Dancers who performed at the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow.
As part of The Big Dance Weekend (12 – 13 July 2014) and to mark the closing of the first ever Commonwealth Youth Dance Festival (10 – 12 July 2014), this major dance commission by internationally renowned choreographer Rafael Bonachela will take place in Buchanan Street, Glasgow.
Get Scotland Dancing and Big Dance are looking for 2014 dancers to take part in this exciting global site-specific event which connects three international cities – London, Glasgow and Sydney in celebration of the Commonwealth Games and to create a new dance film.
Congratulations to Betty Turkington and Dorothy Young, who have recently celebrated 50 years of teaching. Betty and Dorothy were presented with a certificate at the March SOBHD meeting.
Jeanette Jamieson, Irene Miller and Wilma Tolmie have all recently celebrated 60 years of teaching. Congratulations to all three ladies for achieving such a wonderful milestone.
